Selection Guide
How to Choose Food Waste Disposer Accessories
Use this guide to confirm which accessories should be included with a disposer, sold separately, or prepared as part of an OEM package. Selection should consider model compatibility, mounting system, market requirement, packaging format, and replacement demand.
Sink Opening
Splash Guard, Stopper, and Flange
Splash Guard
Confirm throat size, disposer model, replacement fit, and whether it is included or sold separately.
Stopper / Flange
Confirm sink opening, finish requirement, model fit, and packaging position in the accessory set.
These parts are often visible to the user, so fit, finish, and replacement availability should be reviewed before bulk approval.
Mounting
Mounting Kit Selection
3-Bolt Mount
Replacement-oriented programs where buyers want compatibility with familiar sink flange and mounting hardware.
EZ Mount / Twist-Lock
Programs positioned around simplified installation or specific disposer models using a quick-lock style system.
Mounting parts should match the selected disposer model. Do not mix mount systems without confirming compatibility.
Electrical
Power Cord and Air Switch Options
Power Cord
Confirm voltage, plug type, market requirement, certification scope, and whether the cord is included as standard.
Air Switch Kit
Confirm built-in or external switch plan, button finish, hose, power module, and packaging requirement.
Electrical accessories should be confirmed by market and model before label, manual, and carton preparation.
OEM Package
Included Kit vs Separate Accessory SKU
Included Kit
Best when every disposer shipment needs the same installation parts and the buyer wants a complete boxed package.
Separate SKU
Best for distributors that want replacement parts, optional air switch kits, or accessory inventory for after-sales support.
The right choice depends on buyer channel, installation habit, after-sales strategy, carton size, and target price.
Advanced Note
Accessory Compatibility Should Be Confirmed by Model
Disposer accessories should not be treated as one universal group. Splash guards, stoppers, flanges, mounting kits, power cords, and air switch kits may depend on the disposer model, sink opening, mount type, voltage, plug requirement, and packaging plan.
For most OEM and distributor orders, a practical approval order: disposer model → mounting system → accessory list → power and switch requirement → packaging format → compatibility check → sample → final bulk order.
